I have always felt refuge in writing. If what I write finds some common cord with the reader and can help them to feel encouraged in their lives, then I feel I've done my job.

I'd like to reach into the hearts of many readers, of all different ages and backgrounds, to change the way in which people look at things and break down ideas of bias and the segregation between social groups. In this case, I hope to reach the lives of young adults in their social environments in peer groups.

I know that it will be enjoyed and remembered as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
